Mark Brotherhood’s award-winning detective comedy-drama Ludwig has been officially renewed for a third series on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The news comes ahead of the release of series 2, which is due to air later this year.
Series 3 will consist of six 60-minute episodes, all written by Mark Brotherhood, with Chris Foggin serving as lead director and David Mitchell starring as the titular puzzle setter-turned-amateur detective John “Ludwig” Taylor.
Ludwig is a Big Talk Studios production in association with That Mitchell and Webb Company. It’s first series was the BBC’s biggest comedy launch since 2018 when it aired in 2024.
