The Winter King is based on Bernard Cornwell’s novels ‘The Warlord Chronicles’. The series is a retelling of the Arthurian legends and takes place in Post-Roman Dark Age Britain, where the warlord Arthur Pendragon has been banished while Saxons invade, and a child-king sits unprotected on the throne.
The Winter King, made by Bad Wolf, is coming to ITVX on Thursday 21st December 2023.
Anu Menon is currently directing the final two episodes of The Day of the Jackal for Carnival Films, and her recent directing credits include block two of Killing Eve Series 4, and Motive (Neeyat).
