Helen Black has co-written the second series of TIME with creator Jimmy McGovern.
TIME II is set in a British women’s prison and stars Bella Ramsey, Tamara Lawrence, and Jodie Whittaker. Stories from three very different inmates are told, as they are thrown together to face an unfamiliar world. But even with the ever-present threat of violence within the prison’s walls, the women discover that a sense of community and shared understanding might still be possible.
A preview of the first episode will take place at the BFI on Wednesday 18th October, followed by a Q&A with writers Jimmy McGovern and Helen Black, and actors from the series.

Helen’s award winning single BBC drama film Life & Death in the Warehouse was recently nominated for an International Emmy.
