Written by Eva O’Connor and Hildegard Ryan, CHICKEN is a new play premiering at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023!
Directed by Hildegard Ryan and performed by Eva O’Connor, CHICKEN will run at Summerhall, Venue 26 from 2nd-27th of August at 8:50pm, excluding Mondays.
‘A chicken’s brain is the size of a walnut. But their hearts are as big as the universe. A play about love, fate, delicious white meat, and adventure. There’s a chicken in the Summerhall basement and she’s dying to meet you.’
Eva and Hildegard have been producing theatre through their company Sunday’s Child since 2003. Their award-winning plays include The Friday Night Effect, Overshadowed, My Name Is Saoirse and Mustard, enjoying success in Edinburgh, Dublin, London and beyond. They have also adapted Overshadowed (BBC) and Mustard (RTE) for the screen.
