BBC Radio 4 are repeating Colin MacDonald’s drama Calum’s Road on Friday 18th July at 9pm. Described by Gillian Reynolds in the Daily Telegraph as “a story to inspire”, it stars Ian McDiarmid as Calum MacLeod, and tells the epic true story of one man’s road-building feat against all odds on the Scottish island of Raasay.
Colin’s 10×15′ radio adaptation of Dark Fire, the second in the Shardlake series of historical mystery novels by C.J. Sansom has been recorded starring Justin Salinger and Robert Glenister. His adaptation of the first Shardlake book, Dissolution, TX September 2012 on BBCR4.
In TV, Colin’s drama idea The Fell has been picked up by Gordon Kennedy at Absolutely Productions. Colin’s credits for television include Sharpe’s Honour and Blue Murder, as well as three single films for BBC One: The Dunroamin Rising, The Gift and The Wreck On the Highway.
