Colin MacDonald‘s ten-part adaptation of CJ Sansom’s Dark Fire begins on BBC Radio 4 on Monday 25th August, and runs for ten consecutive weekdays at 10.45am (repeated at 7.45pm). It stars Justin Salinger as the hunchback lawyer Matthew Shardlake, and Robert Glenister as Thomas Cromwell. It’s about the murder of a child, and the frantic search for weapons of mass destruction in the hottest London summer of the 16th century. It was recorded at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios in London. It is the second Shardlake novel to be adapted by Colin. Dissolution was broadcast in 2012. He has been commissioned to adapt a third, Sovereign.
Colin is represented by Rochelle Stevens.
