Eva O’Connor has written a new play For Dolores for Fishamble: The New Play Company, in association with Traverse Theatre, Galway International Arts Festival and Belltable.
Realtín is Irish, outgoing, bubbly. She used to me a mad socialite, but things are different now. She has a 9-month-old daughter called Dolores.
Ada is Glaswegian. She has a chip on her shoulder but a razor-sharp sense of humour. She is the aunt to baby Dolores.
Realtín’s boyfriend – Ada’s brother – is dead.
This is a play about coping, friendship, and motherhood, where everything is shifting constantly. Can these two young women come to terms with their past, for themselves, for each other, for Dolores.
Written by Eva O’Connor and directed by Jim Culleton. More information coming soon…
