We’re so pleased to see Joe Sellman-Leava’s FANBOY is receiving well deserved praise during its run at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022.
Starburst Magazine gave a glowing 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, noting that “Fanboy explores the toxic side of fandom but ultimately this is a story about love and joy; about choosing the harder, kinder, more caring path and fighting for the right thing, even if one does not feel especially brave.
This is beautiful, heartfelt, incredibly funny and brutally honest. A must-see for anyone who calls themselves a fanboy.”
And Voice Magazine wrote “Fanboy is an impressive one-man jukebox of impressions that tangles with its own nostalgia, reclaiming forgotten passions during a time of personal and political upheaval. The show brilliantly captures the millennial nerdom’s coming-of-age into a time of ecological, financial, and political crisis.
Written and performed by Joe and directed by Yaz-Al Shaater, FANBOY will be performed at 12:15pm at the Pleasance Dome until 29th August.
