In this second season, Granny Kumar will once again be assisted by her great granddaughter Maya (Ambreen Razia) and ‘frenemy’ Geeta (Harvey Virdi).
A blend of sitcom, silliness and improvised chat, led by the best kind of interviewers who know how to make anyone talk – two really nosey old Indian women.
The first episode will include actress Sunetra Sarker and broadcaster Naga Munchetty as guests.
The show is a women-only party, where they share stories, laugh loads and chew the fat/dish the dirt/eat the biscuits.
Meera Syal debuted Granny Kumar in The Kumars at Number 42, which ran on BBC for six series from 2001. Gossip and Goddesses had its first season air on BBC Radio 4 in February 2021.
Gossip and Goddesses with Granny Kumar S2 will start at 6:30pm on Wednesday 23rd November, and will tx weekly from then at the same time on 30th November, 7th and 14th December.
All episodes will be available to listen to on BBC Sounds after airing.
