The BBC have confirmed the highly anticipated start date of Mr Loverman, based on Bernardine Evaristo’s novel, adapted by Nathaniel Price.
The 8×30’ drama series will begin with two episodes on Monday 14th October at 9pm and 9:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Following the seventy-four-year-old, Antiguan born, exuberant Hackney personality Barrington Jedidiah Walker, Mr Loverman brings to life Evaristo’s ground-breaking exploration of Britain’s older Caribbean community. A life-affirming story about family, love and being true to yourself.
Mr Loverman stars Lennie James, Sharon D Clarke, Ariyon Bakare, Tamara Lawrance, Sharlene Whyte and Tahj Miles.
The series will continue on Mondays at 9pm, concluding with episodes seven and eight on November 4th.
