Joe Sellman-Leava and Tajinder Singh Hayer have both written episodes for brand-new animated series Zog!
Zog is a CGI animated comedy-adventure series for BBC Children’s and Education and Magic Light Pictures. The series is based on the books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
Joe’s first episode, The Draggles, airs today, Wednesday 20th May, at 16:50 on CBeebies.
The first 20 episodes are available to watch now on iPlayer, including Joe’s second episode Gadabout the Gardener and Tajinder’s episode The Great Gnome Games.
Joe Sellman-Leava is a writer and actor with credits on several children’s shows, including Pip and Posy, The Adventures of Paddington, Tim Rex and Duck and Frog. Joe is also an award-winning playwright and will be taking his latest show Copycat to the Edinburgh Fringe this August.
Tajinder Singh Hayer has written across theatre, radio and television. His plays include North Country, Players, Mela and Ghost Stories from an Old Country (Papatango Prize winner). In 2023, Tajinder wrote The Odyssey: Episode 2 – The Cyclops for the National Theatre’s Public Acts. He is also a lecturer of Creative Writing at Lancaster University.
