Cara Loftus and Dan Muirden have both written episodes for the second season of The Hardacres, which is due to air on 5 this spring.

Inspired by the bestselling novels by CL Skelton, the series follows the Hardacre family as they navigate their rise from poverty to staggering wealth and the unexpected twists and turns that money brings. Season 2 finds the Hardacre family on the brink of transformation in 1895, as modernity sweeps into Hardacre Hall with electricity and shifting loyalties.
Cara is an Irish screenwriter. Her episode of Hidden Assets S3 was nominated for an IFTA earlier this year and her debut feature film Spilt Milk is currently showing in Irish cinemas.
Dan’s credits include Death In Paradise (Red Planet/BBC), Shakespeare and Hathaway (BBC), Sister Boniface (Britbox/BBC) and Father Brown (BBC) where he is currently lead writer.
