Cara Loftus has been included in The Irish Independent’s Ones to Watch in 2025, from the arts to activism, sport, food and fashion, The Irish Independent have selected the rising stars to watch in the year ahead.
The Irish Independent say, “Screenwriter Cara Loftus knows her way around a film set and was part of the production crew on The Last Duel, Disenchanted and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. An impressive list, but Loftus is now ready to tell her own stories. Her feature debut Spilt Milk, set for release in 2025, tells of an 11-year-old boy who wishes he was a hotshot detective, like his screen idol Kojak. First, he’ll need to navigate a tricky social environment in 1980s Dublin. A promising set-up, and Loftus has two further features in development – and a TV series to boot. Exciting times.”
