Congratulations to Cara Loftus who is one of eight filmmakers selected for this year’s Puttnam Scholars Programme.
The cross-border initiative is a series of seminars for early-to-mid career filmmakers with Oscar-winning producer David Puttnam, run in conjuncture with Screen Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen.
Lord Puttman invites special guests to join some of the seminars to reflect on their recent work and to offer advice to the scholars – this year will include Jonathan Glazer and Jim Miller, Paul Laverty, and Paula Heffernan and Chelsea Morgan Hoffman.
Cara has a number of production credits on high profile Irish-shot shows but “deep-down” she always wanted to write. Cara’s debut feature Spilt Milk is expected to make a festival debut this year.
Cara Loftus is represented by Frances Arnold.
